I have made some changes to the project as discussed in a previous post.  This was done to assist with accessibility.

The completed prototype for the website.

 accessibility page The Accessibility page with guidance for the user and a useful link to a BBC Accessibility website which has lots of How to guides on it.
 home page The Home Page


Has a brief description of the purpose of the site.

 the computer The Computer page.


Contains a brief description of how to navigate this section of the site and contains a video demonstration.

Has an interactive feature for the user to hover over the pc case and the components are named as the cursor moves over the hotspots.

A description of the motherboards purpose together with an interactive feature which names some of the parts of the motherboard.

Describes the purpose of the CPU and some of the characteristics.

 the computer - graphics card The Graphics Card


Describes what a graphics card is for and has an interactive feature identifying some of the parts.

Details some of the features of a sound card and list the different manufacturers.

Describes the purpose and features of the power supply.

 the revision quiz The Black box revision quiz


An interactive quiz giving the user the opportunity to test their knowledge and discover the correct answer if they get it wrong.


  The Graded Quiz


The user can take this quiz and see the results at the end by following the links provided.

 glossary The Glossary


An interactive glossary. The user Identifies the first letter of a part they don’t know and this guide gives them brief details of the component.  All details are hidden until the letter is selected.

The spread sheet shows the user how they performed on the test and has the correct answers shown on the top row.

Tis section lists some of the resources available for learning about ITC.

Overall the site is looking as I had planned.  Just wish I had more knowledge to implement some accessibility features of my own.

  1. This is very good. It is clear to see that a lot of hard work and ingenuity has been ploughed into this site. I like how have catered for the kinaesthetic learner via the use of the quiz and there are also good images that cater for the visual learner. Do you have anything in place for the auditory learner?
